Ticket Terms & Condition

Welcome to GBA Innovation Summit 

The below terms and conditions (these "Terms") apply to your ticket to, and your attendance at, the Virtual Event.

‍By registering your ticket to and/or attending the Virtual Event, you agree to the below terms and conditions (these "Terms") between you and Finnovasia Limited ("we", "our" or "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register the Ticket.


 

1. THE VIRTUAL EVENT

The Virtual Event will be held on 25 May 2021. Further details regarding the Virtual Event, including the proposed agenda, program and platform of the Virtual Event, are set out at www.gbainnovation.info.

2. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND THE VIRTUAL EVENT

We may amend these Terms and any Virtual Event details at any time – including by adding to, deleting or changing provisions to these Terms. If we do so, we will notify you by changing the Terms on this webpage. In addition, if such changes are (in our opinion) reasonably material, we will give you reasonable notice prior to such changes taking effect.

3. CHANGES TO OR CANCELLATION/ SUSPENSION/ POSTPONEMENT OF THE VIRTUAL EVENT

3.1  We may, at any time and for any reason (but acting reasonably):

  1. make alterations to the programme, agenda, speakers, hosting platform, dates, and timings of the Virtual Event; and/or 

  2. cancel, suspend or postpone the whole or any part of the Virtual Event.

3.2 Where we make any such changes and if such changes are (in our opinion) reasonably material, we will give you reasonable notice prior to such changes taking effect. We will also promptly update our website to reflect any such changes.

3.3 Your Ticket grants you access to the Virtual Event and not for any specific activities or speakers.

4. YOUR TICKET AND THE VIRTUAL EVENT

4.1 To attend the Virtual Event, you must hold a valid Ticket.

4.2 Once you have completed your registration, you will receive a confirmation by email. Please ensure that your valid email is entered correctly on the registration form. Please also check your junk or spam email box in case any of your Virtual Event email(s) are caught by spam filters.

4.3 Please ensure you have a strong internet connection for the Virtual Event. Your landline-based internet connection and computer for the Virtual Event are highly recommended.

4.4 All Tickets are non-transferable.

4.5 Downgrading of registration will not be accepted.

4.6 If you do not cancel and do not access the Virtual Event, you are still responsible for payment. In no event shall we be obligated to refund all or a portion of the registration fee.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

5.1 All rights to the Virtual Event belong to us, including any commercial rights and intellectual property rights arising from or in relation to the Virtual Event.  Nothing in these Terms will act to license or transfer any rights of either party, except as expressly specified.

5.2 You are permitted to photograph limited parts of the Virtual Event for your personal use only (and for clarity, not for any commercial purpose or use).

5.3 The Virtual Event may be filmed and items used for internet streaming. By attending the Virtual Event, you agree to:

  1. grant us a perpetual, royalty free, worldwide licence and right to record, film, live-stream, photograph, or capture your likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any film, video and/or audio recording of the Virtual Event (or any part of it), in any media (e.g. in future marketing materials). If you have any concerns about this, please notify us prior to attending the Virtual Event.

6. DATA PRIVACY

6.1 By registering for the Virtual Event, you agree that your personal information as stated in the registration form and provided by you during the Virtual Event may be collected, used and disclosed by us (including our partners and authorised agents) for the purpose of the Virtual Event and for business matching.

6.2 We will always respect your privacy, and treat your personal data in accordance with:​

  1. Hong Kong data privacy laws

7. LIABILITY

7.1 We are not liable for any loss arising from any cancellation or postponement of the Virtual Event for any reason, including where such cancellation or postponement is due to reasons outside of our control.

8. PROHIBITED MATERIAL AND BEHAVIOUR

8.1 We prohibit the following from the Virtual Event:

  1. any political materials to be shown on the platform;

  2. Any unauthorised materials for trading (including any goods or items using unauthorised event logos or brands);

  3. unauthorised recording, live-streaming, and videotaping. Participants may not record or broadcast audio or video of sessions at the Virtual Event.

  4. any other act which (in our opinion) interferes or effective operation of the Virtual Event.

8.2 We may eject any participant that breaches this clause 8.

9. FORCE MAJEURE

9.1 We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform these Terms (including hosting the Virtual Event) to the extent such delay or failure is caused by any Force Majeure Event. For the purposes of these Terms, "Force Majeure Event" means any circumstance outside of our reasonable control, and includes the following:

  1. software, internet or issue with the hosting platform

  2. acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster;

  3. epidemic or pandemic;

  4. terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations;

  5. any law or any action taken by a government or public authority;

  6. collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident;

  7. any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts;

  8. non-performance by suppliers or subcontractors;

  9. interruption or failure of any utility or public transportation service in Hong Kong;

  10. any event outside of our control that has an adverse effect on the Virtual Event, including:

    • any public demonstration or protests; or

    • any governmental action that has a material adverse effect on the Virtual Event; and

  11. any other circumstance outside of the Organiser's control that leads the Organiser to believe (acting reasonably) that the Virtual Event cannot be effectively hosted, or where significant changes would need to be made to the Virtual Event in order for it to be hosted.

10. GENERAL

10.1 We may assign any of our rights and obligations under these Terms to any third party.

10.2 These Terms are governed by Hong Kong law, and any disputes arising out of these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Courts.

PRIVACY POLICY

TusPark HK (“TusPark’) is committed to ensuring that all personal data provided under various applications and notifications are handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Personal data collected and held‍

In order to provide a better service to you, we may collect information when you attend our events, use our services, register with us or communicate with us. The typical types of information held by Finnovasia are basic contact details (such as name, job title, company name, address, email and telephone), a record of our contact with you and your areas of interest e.g. sectors, events, publications etc.

Purposes of collecting and keeping personal data‍

The main purposes for which personal data are kept and used by TusPark include:

  • To provide services or information to facilitate your participation in our events

  • To mail communications, publications, invitations and such like as you may select, request or as we may consider to be relevant to you

  • To measure the success of specific campaigns and for general market research; and for registration for events.

We may conduct direct marketing via email, direct mail, telephone and other means of communication whether now or hereafter know, or send e-newsletters to you. You may choose not to receive promotional materials, by simply telling us (see below for contact details), and we will cease to do so, without charge. If applicable law required that we receive your explicit consent before we send you certain types of marketing communications, we will only send you those types of communications after receiving you explicit consent.

Privacy of personal data‍

Our website uses cookies to help us gauge what information is most useful to which users and such like. Cookies, however, keep the identity of our individual website users anonymous.

The data collected will be kept confidential. TusPark will not divulge or sell personal details to external parties for their own purpose. Tuspark may however provide your contact information to:

  • InvestHK, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

  •  Agents, contractors and personnel who provide services to Finnovasia (for example, to those agencies engaged by TusPark to administer the distribution of materials)

  • Exhibitors, masterclass and roundtable hosts to record your attendance to their booth / event

Security and retention of personal data

Only authorised people have access to, custody of and the means of using personal data TusPark collects. TusPark promotes a privacy-aware culture that respects and is sensitive to the rights of its external contacts.

Data captured on-line or via TuspPark’s website are retained on TusPark’s server. Storage on TusPark’s server protect against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure or other use.

TusPark retains personal data so long as the data are still required for the purposes mentioned above.

Access to and correction of personal data

An individual may request access to his personal data held by TusPark pursuant to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. In addition, an individual may also request for correction of his personal data held by TusPark if he considers the data are inaccurate.

Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right:

  • to check whether we hold personal data about you and to access such data

  • to require us to correct inaccurate data

  • to ascertain our policies and practices in relation to personal data and the kind of personal held by us.

If you are in an EU Member State, subject to certain limitation and/or restrictions, you have the right under the data protection laws in the EU:

  • to request access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data

  • to obtain restriction of processing or to object to processing of your personal data

  • to the right to data portability

Individuals in the EU also have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of their personal data with their local data protection authority.
